i have a couple of projects in the works, but things move very slow when you work full time . . .
anyways, here are a couple of more recent photos and edits to keep everyone up on things.

Ecuadorian Landscapes
Some landscapes and such from a recent trip to Ecuador. Many many more will come, including a series or two. Until then...
A view of the sky at the top of Mt. Tungurahua, a very large, very active volcano (near the city of Ambato).
The area is full of gorgeous landscapes...I was able to grab several while on the bus to and from a small village up in the mountains called 'Sucre'.
One of the waterfalls in and/or near Banos, Ecuador. This shot was taken right next to a gondola lift that takes passengers across the river and over the waterfall (it's incredibly fun).
Another waterfall, much more intense than the one shown above. This one is only reachable (to photograph) by hiking down a mountainside and across a rather sketchy suspension bridge. You can actually hike up behind the waterfall and touch the water as it falls from the top. It's rather intimidating.
An evening view of Tungurahua. It was possible to hear (and feel) explosions from inside the volcano, even from several miles away. There were several times at night when you could go outside and actually see lava pouring down the mountain.

More of Celeste...
Here are a few shots I took while I tagged along on Michael's shoot with Celeste (the model in our previous blog post):
1: Shot with an Id-light held slightly above and to the right of my camera to flood the near side of her face with light, and to leak over to her far eye as well. 85mm, f/2.8, 1/200 ISO 200 :
2) Was trying a different feel with this one...shot with a ring light just slightly above the camera, and an id-light behind the model for rim light. 85mm, f/2.5, 1/160, ISO 100 :

celeste . . .
well, this is Celeste, she modeled for me recently and here are a few of the shots. more to come shortly.
taken in an old '46? pontiac with a gold reflector for fill.
iso 1600 or 3200 . . . she is sticking her head through a door with a light above and behind her, some of the light was bouncing off of the wall to her left, and gave some nice split lighting.
straight on with a ringlight, thats all. . . ringlights are a pretty good investment.
